After a month of caring for an energetic puppy, I finally had a rare moment of peace and quiet to game. It felt great, with everyone resting over the weekend and not needing my attention. I decided to properly use my gaming rig with the new MOZA R3 wheelbase fixed. Managed to get on F124 for a few laps. Monaco was tough, not a friendly track for new or maybe even experienced drivers, but it does provide sharp turns to test the wheelbase.
It took me a couple of laps more than i wished for to get into the groove with the new wheelbase; it is almost like relearning to drive with the new feedback mechanics. Still fiddling with the buttons, which are all in different places compared to my old Thrustmaster. The MOZA direct drive system is much smoother. I must say, I do love it, but I should have listened to reviewers; the force feedback is on lacking side to my taste. I should have gone for the R9, but it was also pricier.
For now, I can’t wait to test it on Assetto Corsa Competizione, which should give a more realistic feel to racing with cars.
