It was a long and painful flight back. One of the most expensive economy flights I had to pay the price because I was not able to line up the timelines earlier; dates were all over the place pending work visa approvals. I very much needed to return to Malaysia with multiple events lined up. As Covid fears still linger on flights, the airlines were particular about us keeping masked on with the exception of eating. Food was below par, the worst I have ever eaten on any flight. The beer and wine were also sharp down the throat. As a person who could not sleep on flights, I am just going to have to endure it 14 hours straight.

The month was filled with events and errands. In particular, a great celebration in Malaysia and Singapore as my sister hosted her wedding. Yes, for these many years, I have not been to the Jewel, so it was an experience. It was somewhat a very unique architecture, a great indoor forest-like feel, but I suppose the mall is the attractive bit for visitors. As a Malaysian, shopping is part of everyday lifestyle, so it wasn’t something superbly exciting in my opinion. Looking at the architecture was not a bad idea.

The rest of the month was getting my own wedding certificates sorted, pre-wedding photoshoots in Johor and Kota Kinabalu. That was a really nice experience up in the mountains. The highest in South East Asia at least. The scenery was stunning. Then off on dirt roads and beach towns. A part of my own country that I have not visited, and it’s my first time, loving it.
